Comfy Clothes for Mom
When it comes to clothing, comfort is key. Pack loose-fitting, breathable clothes that will make you feel at ease during your stay at the hospital. Don't forget to include a couple of nursing bras as well as cozy socks to keep your feet warm.
Toiletries and Personal Care Items
While the hospital will provide some basic toiletries, it's always nice to have your own. Pack travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrush, toothpaste, and any other personal care items you can't live without. Don't forget your favorite lip balm to keep your lips moisturized! Pack them in the Clear Pouch Trio Set for easy-access post delivery!
In addition to your normal toiletries, be sure to pack a few postpartum essentials. There's something extra comforting about bringing your preferred items--the ones we have linked are our personal favorites for after delivery.
Snacks and Drinks
Labor can be a long process, and you'll need all the energy you can get. Pack some healthy snacks and drinks to keep you fueled throughout the journey. Granola bars, nuts, and dried fruit are great options. And don't forget a water bottle to stay hydrated!
Baby Essentials
Of course, you can't forget about your precious baby! Pack a few onesies, swaddle blankets, and a going-home outfit for your little one. Don't forget your car seat for the journey back home, too!
Important Documents
Don't leave home without your identification, insurance information, and any necessary hospital paperwork. It's always better to be safe than sorry, so keep these documents in a safe place within your hospital bag. We love the Clipfolio from Day Designer--it has a pocket for important documents and a notepad for anything you want to write down.
